I'll Take a Number 7, Please

Posted on Wednesday, June 8, 2016

On your mark, get set, go!! The summer has officially begun. For most this means bathing suits and tan lines but for goers this means computer work and phone calls. Now that makes it sound like an incredibly boring summer but I assure you that is misleading. Yes, this summer will be hard work but it will be a summer of celebration.

I returned from training in Minnesota after almost missing my flight back home. It proved to say this summer is going to be interesting. I got home and spent about a day to rest and reflect over training. As soon as Monday 8 am came around it was off to the races. I started off feeling overwhelmed again but  God kept laying on my heart that this is ministry. This isn't a hurdle to get you to ministry. It is indeed ministry. This excited me and I got to work.

I have had a few days already of productive work and encouraging meetings with awesome people. I want to be transparent and say that it is indeed a roller coaster of encouragement and discouragement. The biggest thing for me lately can be explained with this analogy...So I LOVE cheeseburgers. When I have a burger placed in front of me I am so excited. Well, As I take each bite I become more and more sad because there is less and less of that burger left. I am sure we all experience this with some sort of food. I am relating this to my network of people. As I have more and more meetings I feel as if there is less and less burger.

However, God has encouraged me with the idea that when we are eating His heavenly burger it grows more abundant. One bite leads to many more burgers. God multiplies. (Psalm 107:9) So I am so excited to see how many burgers God produces this summer. As I talk with others, they might know others and that's more people I get to minister with. So I am so grateful for His abundance and am ready to keep pushing. Thank You Lord!
