The day after I returned to my country we had a special event at our tea house program! There is a group of Syrian musicians (also refugees), that live in here, who came to play during program. I can’t even describe how special it was to see our refugee friends so full of joy at the sounds of the music from their homeland. Some of the older men started dancing and soon many of the teenagers and children joined them. It was my favorite day of work so far and there was a lot of positive feedback that we received as well; a couple of the women told me that it was their favorite day since arriving in this country. It was really a privilege to be a part of the event and to be able to care for the families in this way. We hope to be able to do it again this summer
