I have been here almost 7 months now and there have been a lot of changes taking place. I am entering into part time language/part time ministry; with this new season comes new responsibilities! At the end of August, a team from the US came and helped us to run a VBS week here! We started with 85 kids the first day and ended the week with about 130, all speaking either English, Turkish, Arabic, Kurdish, or Farsi. With all the moms that stuck around and volunteers, it was a full house! I think many of us would say that one of the biggest highlights was watching quite a few of the covered women dancing and singing along to the worship songs. While many of them didn’t know what the words meant exactly, the overall message was generally clear and it was a joy to see them engage so freely.
