I am continually being reminded who this is for and for what purpose I am doing this. Like any normal human there is a blank left, my name fills the space by default. Somewhere subconsciously in the recesses of my mind this journey is about me. After a while it is easy to let that habit take root and become the reason, become the helm of this journey. With me at the forefront God takes the backseat. I can't stear this ship, I don't know where I'm going or what tomorrow will bring, only God, the captain can stear this ship and get to shore safely. He knows the docks, the oceans, the wind, the waves, the creatures of the sea and most of all He knows me. I've tried to control my future, trying to get a head start so I won't be behind or get a bad deal. In some cases working ahead is good but in my case ive only been bringing more troubles and worries upon myself. I said I'd give it up to Him but that's not what giving it to God looks like. When I give Him all of my worries, my fears, my thoughts, my passions, my hopes, dreams, loves and troubles they're in His hands, not mine. I am focusing on this day, the one the Lord has blessed me with because we are not guaranteed tomorrow and reminded that tomorrow is a different day, it's in God's hands.

It is easy to forget God is in control and that He will provide for all our needs. Worry is easy, trusting the Lord is difficult. In the end trusting the Lord will reap good things whereas worrying will only let you down.
