Wow, that went by fast. How are the two years already over? So I know that I'm still young. I've only been on this earth for 25 years and hopefully I have a lot of great years ahead of me. But I can confidently say that the past two years were the best of my life so far. That doesn't mean I didn't have a crazy amount of struggles and difficulties, becasue trust me I did. I grew and learned more than I could have possibly expected. I have such a better handle on who I am as a person and who I am in Christ. None of this came easy, however. The growing was painful. The learning was even more painful because it required me to admit how much I didn't/don't know. I truly believe that is the key to growth in every area of life. Realizing and admiting how much you don't know and how far you have to go. So if I have any advice to future goers, it would be to be open. Open your ears, eyes, heart, and mind. That is the only way to grow and the only way to be an empty and willing vessel for the Lord to use.
I can't express how thankful I am for my two years in Berlin. God gave me SO many opportunites to share His truth with people who had never heard it. The Holy Spirit used me to plant so many seeds. What more could an ambassador of Christ ask for? God has used Berlin to change my life and I am eternally grateful.
PS-Another word advice, be aware of what you pray for. For example, the next time you sing a song like Oceans, asking the Spirit to lead you where your trust is without borders and keep your eyes literally just above the waves...know that He might actually answer that prayer and it won't be easy.
