Whew! So much has happened in the past month, I don't even know where to start. I guess I should start by saying that our God is absolutely incredible. I've seen Him provide in such amazing ways this summer. He's provided encouragement, prayer support, financial support, transportation, a free roof over my head, and so much more. I still have a lot of financial support to raise in a very short amount of time. But I have no doubt that He will continue to provide. I've just grown so much closer to Him through this whole process. I'm so grateful for that! So since I can't think of a good way to tell you every single story of God working this summer, here's a top ten list :)
What God has taught me/what I've realized this summer:
1) God will provide for my every need in His time.
2) I’m scared of stepping out of my comfort zone.
3) Working with Muslim, Turkish, teenagers and Atheist, German, teenagers is out of my Bible Belt comfort zone.
4) God has called me out of said comfort zone so that I MUST rely on Him and I will have no way to boast in myself.
5) There is NO WAY that I could do any of this on my own (I am not going to be an Éponine Thénardier in this situation.)
6) I don’t deserve any of the multitude of blessings that the Lord has given me.
7) I shouldn’t be scared to ask people to join in God’s work in Berlin. (Although I still get scared sometimes.)
8) God will provide in ways that you least expect…because He is doing it His way, in His timing, and not ours.
9) These two years in Berlin are going to be really tough.
10) But I’m so ready for the challenge because I know that it’s exactly where God wants me.
In conclusion, I have two more things I want to leave with you. The first is a song that has really ministered to me this summer. It's basically been my prayer through this whole process. Click on the YouTube video and you can listen to it. Hopefully it will minister to you as much as it has to me! Secondly, there's a phrase that my pastor always says. The congregation joins Him in saying it at the end of every service. So, here's a shoutout to all my Woodland Park people! I think it's a very appropriate conclusion to this blog post, so I will leave you with this:
"God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good. Just in time, in His time. Why? Because that's His nature. Woooo!"
