Wondering about what the locals are doing? Of course, Italian believers are excited to share their faith as are we missionaries. This post celebrates the action taken by my friends and their interest in helping and reaching their neighbors. This week, a Christain college group called GBU is hosting outreach events for the university students. The theme is "When nothing remains anymore, what's left?" I'm so excited for them and for these four evenings of fun and faith!
Tonight was the first meeting, and the student leaders are taking on a beautiful responsibility. Let's pray that they can make personal growth through this experience, as we pray for the event itself. Together, we can lift up all who may go, any new relationships that form, the guest speakers, and everyone who helps. Please be in prayer all week. They start at 7:30 Rome time (2:30 EST). We believe and declare that God can and desires to do great things through this time, so let's ask with joy and faith!
Here are the day's themes:
Tuesday- When your carreer doesn't satisfy you, what do you have left?
Wednesday- When relationships disappoint you, what do you have left?
Thursday- When the earth shakes, what do you have left?
Friday- When society no longer gives you security, what do you have left?
Although I am not available to attend every evening, I look forward to participating. I'm praying that the relaxed and playful times lead to depth and transformation. Maybe I'll be able to give an update and change the photo by the end of this week. But remember, it's important to pray for follow-up as well. We need to continue in prayer after this week. Thanks so much for your constant support and for getting involved in the global church!
