For those who may not know, I’m house hunting! I love my current location, but the owner wants the space. As much work as it will be to find and settle into a new place, I’m certainly not blind to the potential benefits buried in this curveball. I'm asking God to surprise me in this transition. My roommates have been an immeasurable blessing this year. Since we all need to leave, the ideal is to find a new place together! That’s exciting, because we’d be able to continue together and even make some improvements over our current set-up.
Of course, that may not be feasible. At the end of the day, I need a roof over my head! So the transition may include a change in housemates, if we can’t find an apartment together. There are two parts of town that I would be perfect locations for my schedule and commitments. I have many options, but since God is so generous I’m hoping for these “first choices” to work.
This may not be a typical blog update, but it has a sizable impact on my daily living and work. I know I’ve got wonderful people praying for this ministry and specifically for my personal experience, so I’m sharing this request. Here are some details we can all pray over, but of course asking the Lord to work according to His perfect plan.
-That I can stay with some of my friends from my current place
-That we find our new apartment quickly
-A real kitchen, instead of the corner space we have now
-A private bedroom, like I have now
-Good location
-Manageable rent and fees
-Reduced stress for all of us looking
-Good heating for the winter
-Good windows for the summer
-Safe and speedy moving, when the time comes
Thank you all so much for your constant prayers, words of encouragement, and continued interest in the ministry here. It was a lovely Christmas, and things picked up again quickly with the New Year. Serving the Lord is a joyful thing, anywhere and everywhere! Let’s all seek to know Christ more and share Christ more this year.
