I'm so there it's insane

Posted on Thursday, May 28, 2015

I've had the privilage of spending the last couple days in very intentional community with an incredible group of 20-somethings at GoWeek.  Their passion for so many different people groups around the world has only increased the passion I have to walk with people that are refugees in the Middle East.  This week has been very transformational and taught me a lot, but it has also just made me even more restless.

My heart is with the refugees that I will get to walk alongside in just a couple short months.  I want to see what it means to be their neighbor.  I want to know what their language feels like on my lips.  I want to see how God is working there first hand and I want to join in.

With all this excitement also comes healthy amounts of fear.  I am leaving behind my supporters, my familiy and my life.  I'm leaving behind everything that I have come to know as normal and I am stepping away from a lot of the people that I love so that I can go and love the people and the community I have never met.  I'm scared to leave and I'm scared to step out.  However, in that fear, I am excited to know that I don't have to do it alone.  In fact, alone I am not strong enough.  Instead, I have an almightly Savior that is guiding me and laying the foundation in front of me.  My only job is to step out in grace.

For that reason and that reason alone, I trust in him and I will step out in grace. "I'm so there it's insane!"
