Here’s an update of “where I’m at right now”.
I have recently been affirmed by a series of exciting art opportunities and feel more ownership over my unique role in my diverse team, while continually realizing the necessity to not do things alone despite having a unique role.
I love Artists! I love our gallery space! I love exhibiting work in our gallery space! This picture accurately expresses my overflowing joy for that gallery space…just radiating happiness in a sea of onlookers.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to continue to regularly visit a refugee transition home where we have breakfast, play, sing, chat and do English lessons. I have been able to see little babies turn into running toddlers, and sassy enemies turn to sweet childhood friendships right before my very eyes!
I went through a bit of a season of having a crushed language-learning ego, but plan to start up with tutoring after my visit home.
I’m going to be having a solo art exhibition in Iowa in October, along with a visit home. I can’t wait to see my niece!
It feels strange to be approaching the one-year mark, and has caused me to anxiously think about the future after next fall. I have stirred in this chaos and have decided to slow down this planning and be present. It is good to be present. I'm sorry that the title had to be a pun, but it speaks the truth.
I feel like I am growing into the team, my role, the church, my faith, the list is endless.
I am recovering from a revolting cold, so please pray for energy!
Thanks for checking in!
