I had the huge privilege of hosting some of my family for a visit this past month. My brother came for a few days and then my mom and her cousin joined us. Our time together overlapped perfectly to be together for my mom’s birthday! I’m so thankful we were able to celebrate together. It was strange to be in the tour guide role since I’ve been the one being shown around and exploring for myself up until this visit. This time together has induced a bit of homesickness, but I would not trade it. This is the picture we took at the airport when we were first reunited. I love the fresh excitement in our eyes despite a long day of travel. We had a great time together. It was definitely a gift.
