This is my favorite new person in the world, my niece Eleanor! The photo was taken on my birthday; we went to one of my favorite Irish restaurant nearby and courageously took the new born along. They were so accommodating and gave us our own back room! It was a perfect day and I was so thankful we could all be together out to dinner!
This summer was a huge learning process; my support team has been coming together more and more each day. I am so encouraged to say I have received about half of my start up costs and my monthly support is currently at about 73%, and building! I am thankful for every meeting I have been able to have and all the times support has appeared unexpectedly. In the quieter times I have been able to rest assured that all I can do is stand in Faith and keep working hard. I am eager to reach my full support goal by September 21 so I can buy my ticket and report to my assignment abroad! God has used this time of support building to uplift this work in Hungary, reconnect with old and new faces, and show me what perseverance in Faith looks like.
Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
When worry and a feeling of uneasiness slips in, this passage always realigns my perspective. Love God, Love others. His desire is for this to consume our whole heart, soul and mind! That is what He has made us to do. Glory to God. That is our ultimate goal and most productive quest. Praise Him for that!
