It has been almost three weeks since Go Week and life has been a whirl! I was honored to be a bridesmaid at a close friend’s wedding on May 24th and spent Memorial Day at another friend’s home before returning to my apartment in Houghton. I then began my support raising campaign meeting with families from my church and sending out more life update letters. At the end of the week my lease ended and I moved in with a good friend, which has been a big blessing as I had knee surgery 3 days later and she has taken care of me so well through it all. Although I was supposed to be off crutches within a week my recovery has not been quite so speedy and I have been learning to accept help for nearly everything. God is teaching me humility not only in raising support to go to Hungary but in asking for all the things I need.
So praise for a really great first week of support raising and supplication for my knee getting better soon so I can start meeting with people again. Also prayer that I stay positive and continue to trust that God will provide for me this summer.
