School:
September was full of awesome beginnings. To start off, we gave a speech for the first day of classes at the neighboring school of our language center. After welcoming all the parents, students, and staff from that school, we welcomed our own students to their first day of our classes on September 8th. We have 3 eager groups that will be with us for this semester. We are three weeks into teaching and already confident that we are going to enjoy these students. Last year served as a great foundation as to what students need here. We have made adjustments to our lessons and are making sure each lesson challenges them to think beyond just the English language, while still aiming to give them quality education. With that said we have begun this year excited and ready to bring it on!
Small Group:
We have began our first small group here with our students who have become friends. Our small group aims to challenge, grow, and live life together. We believe that the L0rd has guided us up to this point with these specific friends. Last year we had great conversations about the L0rd, His Word, and what it means to be a Chr1stian and we want to continue them as we have these small group meetings. We are beyond excited to have begun our meetings 2 weeks ago and look forward to this next one this Friday. Please pr@y for us as we gather with them and also for the fact that men are going to cook breakfast for dinner for the ladies!
Local Fellowship:
Our relationship with the local fellowship continues to be a great encouragement to us as we resume our meetings with brothers and sisters here. Together we are able to mutually grow in our marriages, walks with G0d, and life in general. Our pr@yer last year was that we would be seen as a couple that reflected the love, heart, and passion of G0d for His people here and this month was an encouragement for that pr@yer. The couple we meet on a weekly basis encouraged us and said that they do see His love, heart and passion through us. They also mentioned that by simply coming back, this makes an impact in the life the people here since it is not common for people to choose this place as a new home.
What's Stirring:
A man's steps are directed by the Lord, how then can anyone understand his own way? (Prov3rbs 20:24) The L0rd's guidance has been the very heart of what we do next. Coming back there was a lot of things we could have done with the language center, local fellowship, and with our friends. But after going before our Father, He has guided us to focus on our small group and our language center. We have been able to expose our students and colleagues to something new and different that is life changing. And that is why we believe the L0rd is guiding us to continue to focus on these two areas for this year. We want to focus on what He has given us and do it well. We ask you to join us by lifting up our language center and our small group, that their heart would be soften by the Sp1rit and that we would speak the words from our Papa to them.
