The HOPE for this world!
Fellowship:
This is how we greeted people during our Easter Sunday! We had a powerful word remembering the hope that Chr1st brought to this world through His sacrifice and resurrection. During Easter Sunday we also had the opportunity to be a part of the "Everything" skit and were glad it went well. After our time together at the chur.ch, we all gathered at the church office to share an Easter meal. It was a great meal and time of fellowship. After our time together with our community, we came home to prepare for our Easter celebration for our students. As we had a delicious meal, we were able to share what Easter really means to us and the Hope we are able to find because of J3sus. We PTL for this opportunity and for so many awesome conversations we have been having with our students about Him.
School:
(Parents of one of our students) In the beginning of this month, one of our students invited us to go over to his house and enjoy a feast! Once again we had the opportunity of eating Beshbarmak (A traditional meal that serves horse, sausage, and goat head). Family and friends, they not only enjoy ridding horses but they enjoy eating them as well. The food was beyond delicious and our time with them was filled with laughter, stories, and hospitality that made us not want to leave. We are so thankful for all of our students and feel extremely loved and bl3ssed when we are invited to their homes and allowed in their personal life.
What is stirring:
As some of you know, there is a couple that we believe our Papa chose to bring to our lives so we could grow together. We have been meeting with them for brunch Monday mornings (at our house) and dinner Thursday nights (at their house) weekly since last semester. They are a huge bl3ssing and we have been able to mutually encourage, challenge, and help each other grow as His followers and in our marriages. As we get ready to finish our last month of classes, we cannot believe how fast this year has passed. Everyday we have been able to learn, discover, and embrace the wonderful culture of His children here. For now, this is the place our hearts are calling home and we see how He has placed us here to work with our school and pour into our students. There is no bigger joy than to help them with their language learning in the classroom and share about His love for them outside of the classroom. We ask our Papa to continue to bl3ss you daily and provide for all of your needs.
We also know our time here has been incredible because of your faith.ful pr@yers and support! Thank you for thinking of us often!!
Much love from across the world
