Hey everyone!
This is kinda my tester blog/pre-going post. I'm not very good at blogs, so we will see how this goes, but I would for this to be a place just to write about what's going on and what I'm learning and help everyone stay updated and excited for what God is doing!
This summer has been so crazy, hard, but good! Basically it was like one big transition limbo stage. Literally within days of graduating I was fully jumping in prep to leave including training and support raising! At first I was terrified for the summer. Doing something counter-cultural, like raising your own salary and support to be able to do ministry, made me really nervous and scared! But after a few weeks it was starting to be fun (not always though haha). I expected people to feel burdened or annoyed at the idea of supporting me. It didn't take long for God to show me how excited and passionate others were about what HE was doing and His plans for me. People were calling and contacting ME to see what ways they could help! It was an amazing example of the body of Christ; all pulling together to accomplish what God has called us to do, and with such joy!
The summer was also difficult because of the thought of leaving. I never had to deal with something like this. It felt like I am closing up and just tying up my life here with a bow a putting it aside as I step into a whole new, unknown life. It was like a process of mourning of my life as it is now almost for me. That, mixed with a lot of spiritual warfare and oppression all summer really took a toll on me, but dispite this, God has given me great JOY. Seriously, such a blessing because I really was not trusting God a lot of days and really focusing on the negatives rather than the positives.
Will all that being said, this summer was weird and busy, and challenging, but God showed how much He takes care of me, which is super comforting as I look into the future (as I write this surrounding my suitcases and all belongings, trying to find a place for them to go!). I'm really excited and joyful for what is to come!!!
