I have done a lot of fun things already to celebrate Christmas. Some highlights include dancing to Christmas music, eating way too much on several different occasions, watching Elf with friends, and caroling in my community. I am so grateful for all of these moments. But I have to say that I am missing my usual festivities, and it is hard to be away. I stumbled upon this verse and was able to be encouraged despite my longings for the familiar..for family and friends. Regardless of how I feel though, I choose joy! I choose to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord!
