6:00AM The alarm from my phone rings out into the milky darkness of my room and into the sweet warmth of my sleepy mind. I roll over. 7:00AM I should probably get in the shower I think as I lay there letting my eyes adjust to the turned on light. For some reason getting up this morning was a chore. I move slowly as I spend a few minutes eating breakfast and spending some time with the Lord as the sun peaks over the horizon and I can hear the world waking up just underneath my window. By the time my sleepy footed self gets into the bathroom, I realize how quickly I will need to move in order... Read more

I was twelve. Situated at our family’s shared computer that still used dial-up, I eagerly awaited for my email to load. My eyes danced and butterflies flew around in my tummy as I waited for the one email I always looked for- my near daily email from my dear friend who lived in Papua New Guinea as a Missionary Kid. "Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them. And they praised the God of Israel." - Matthew 15:30-31 A small glimpse into the ministry that I will be a part of starting in January, once I finish language school in France (where I am right now)! Truly... Read moreFlapping Joyfully

The computer screen started up, loading the pixels to create an image of two faces I hadn’t expected to see that night. As our voices connected over electronic waves across the Atlantic Ocean, the younger of the two faces chirped cheerfully. “Miss Lydia, can I tell you about a verse I found in my Bible today during Sunday School?” How could I not do anything but say yes with sugar on top?! And she read. Her little courageous voice that is wise beyond her years spoke straight to my heart. The wings of the ostrich flap joyfully, though they cannot compare with the wings and feathers of the stork... Read moreFulbè

This Sunday (November 3rd) is the World Day of Prayer for Hopital de Meskine and I would like to ask any and all of you reading this to please join me in prayer, as this will pave a way for God to work miracles within this hard to reach people group. Will you join me? - Pray that God will lead us to those in whom He is working, as we prayer-walk in our community. - Pray that God's Word would greatly multiply among those who have never heard the Good News. We now have the capability to put Bible stories in MP3 format on cell phones. Afterwards, they can easily share their stories with others... Read more
