One of the major draws of GoCorps for me was that I could develop my professional skills while serving overseas. Two years felt like a huge time commitment at first, but it really does fly by, and you'll come out a different person -- in the best way! The experience will give you a new perspective on God, yourself, and the world. Going through the support-raising process challenged my faith and helped me to fully place my trust in God. On the field, I was humbled by the process of learning a new culture and language, and at the same time, amazed by the grace that people extended to me. I've also gained invaluable cross-cultural skills, which I know will serve me well as an educator in an urban area. (Apr. 2022)
