I am very grateful to GoCorps and the role it played in helping me get overseas. I really believe that without GoCorps, I wouldn't have come at all. I was initially recruited by a coach who is a dancer, and she opened my eyes to see how dance could be used on the mission field. The one-on-one coaching helped me make the final commitment and find the right team for me. My coach also supported me a lot during the fund-raising process when I was experiencing a lot of anxiety about whether this was the right decision. GoWeek and the fundraising training gave me such important spiritual foundations and practical tools. My sending organization has very little fundraising training, and so I am extremely grateful that I joined through GoCorps and was helped every step of the way through was can be a very difficult process. Throughout my time overseas, my coach periodically checked in to see how I was doing. I am extremely grateful to GoCorps and the role they have played in my journey overseas. (Sept. 2023)
