Bangkok is home to millions, comprised of both those born in Bangkok and those who move here for work and studies. The capital city is majority Buddhist and categorized as unreached with only 1% Evangelical Christian. Young Thais hoping to improve their lives pursue higher education through many top universities located around the city. Many students become open to new experiences and ideas for the first time in university.
Working alongside university Christian clubs and churches with a university outreach emphasis, you will get to meet young Thais who are excited and open to a variety of experiences. Connect with students who study a similar major to what you studied and share how your Creator led you to use your degree for more than just yourself. Share testimony of how you have seen your Savior through your studies. Outside of study topics, come share your personal interests or pick up some new ones from your Thai friends. Sports like pickleball, badminton or basketball or activities like boardgames, travel excursions, and simply eating meals together offer countless opportunities to cross paths with your Thai friends and point to Jesus along the way. Come share the gospel in word and deed using your common ground of desiring a better life with higher knowledge through university and the gospel.
