Short-term Teams and Intern Manager

Just a short drive from Bulgaria’s Balkan Mountains you will find the little village of Tulovo. Made up of about 1,300 people, the population is evenly split between ethnic Bulgarians and Roma peoples. About 85% of the ethnic Bulgarians are culturally Bulgarian Orthodox, but most are only nominal adherents. Protestants make up only about one percent of the population. The need is great for people to show a practical faith in Jesus Christ, then invite others to follow Him. In the Roma quarter is a small, unassuming building which is home to the Evangelical church, attended only by Roma. The church is seeing growth and is looking for a larger space in which to meet!

In the center of the village, you’ll find The Gathering Place, our ministry center. It is within this building where most of our meetings and ministries take place. God has put so many gifts into the local people -- there is a great need for people to disciple and encourage community transformation by local Christ followers. Clearly, God is at work, particularly in the lives of the young people.

It has been amazing to see God sending short-term teams and interns to this community from all over the world! We are looking for a Goer who will play the vital role of facilitating impactful experiences that promote personal growth alongside the community development that is happening locally. You will guide teams and interns through structured processes that strengthen our team’s long term impact in the region through the ministries of these individuals who briefly join our work.

You will coordinate their visits, including communication, preparation, budgeting, orientation, planning and implementation of experiences that align with our mission of sustainable change through community engagement. Together with our team you will help the teams and individuals contribute to ongoing, long term initiatives.
