Spend part of your summer helping skilled, knowledgeable and noble-hearted men and women of Indonesia invest their lives in others to build their communities and inspire hope for future generations. Indonesia is home to a vast array of natural resources and one of the world’s fastest growing economies. This team has been working in this context for 28 years with an eye towards helping the poor and developing underutilized resources for community advancement.
As a student intern, you will have the opportunity to experience what vocational overseas work looks and feels like. Receive training in language learning, holistic development, facilitate an English camp for local college students and carry out a project related to your field of study, such as:
Biochar based business development
Research related to agroforestry, agribusiness, agricultural technology, conservation and/or underutilized resource development
Admin development for a local non-profit foundation
Managing social media for a local non-profit foundation
Development of a non-profit social program
Farmer training
You may also have the opportunity to attend a short course at a local university. You will have the opportunity to build friendships and share your faith with others outside of program time.
