International Sports Coordinator

Furniture Friends is a ministry that provides free furniture for international students at the University of Arkansas and resettled Refugees in our area. We receive furniture donations from the community, furniture stores, and businesses. We then partner with church groups and other believers to help us deliver items to families while making relational connections that open doors for us to share the hope of Christ with peoples from all over the world. Most students and refugees are coming from the 10/40 window area of the world (most unreached areas with the gospel). We served 360+ international families last year. We are in need of more ministry team members to help us on the furniture (business) side and the ministry engagement (relational side).

As an International Sports Coordinator, you will engage International Students at the University of Arkansas and resettled refugees in the area by offering a variety of sports opportunities such as soccer, cricket, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, etc. You will work to plan times to gather internationals for sports games while also finding local believers to join you in building relationships with internationals while you play. The goal is that through formed friendships by playing sports, you will have open doors to share your testimony and the gospel with internationals whose hearts are open.

You will also coordinate local believers who volunteer to play with you and you will help train them on how to engage international people from various world views and religions by loving them like Jesus does and sharing God's hope and truth with them.

In addition, you may be asked to help in other areas of the ministry of Furniture Friends, such as helping on furniture delivery days and attending other ministry events.
