Intern Resident Coordinator/Community Builder

Ecuador is an incredibly diverse country in South America that boasts 4 distinctly different geographical regions: the coast (beach), the Andes Mountains (with many snowcapped volcanoes), the Amazon Rainforest (jungle), and the Galapagos Islands. Coming from 11 distinctly different indigenous groups, Ecuadorians are easy-going, kind people who are very open to foreigners. With a background of Catholicism from the Spanish conquistadors that came to Ecuador in 1531, there is a great deal of openness to the gospel, but the vast majority of Ecuadorians are culturally Catholic without knowing what a personal relationship with Jesus Christ really looks like.

Join a team of young couples and families working in a country setting in the Andes Mountains, where your focus would be investing in the lives of Ecuadorian young people, who have set aside 3 months to a year to serve at our camp and retreat center where we facilitate a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through nature and outdoor adventure. Be a part of the deep investment in these late teen - early 20-something’s lives who will go on to impact their families and communities as a result of their time spent serving with us.

Our Intern Resident Coordinator is someone who lives in the same building as our interns, aiming to build community and in some ways acting as a ‘house parent.’ From cooking together, leading formal or informal Bible studies or time spent in the Word to game nights, off-site excursions, and pizza/movie nights, this role is one that engages in relational connection and shared activities. The Intern Resident Coordinator is the heart of our intern programs and the person that’s there day in and day out to be the shoulder to cry on and the hug to share in the celebrations of accomplishment and growth.
