Apprenticeship in Campus Ministry

Guam, like many of the surrounding islands of Micronesia, is a place where deep cultural traditions is met with a contemporary student life. Guam’s motto, “Where America’s Day Begins” is home to the indigenous Chamorro, Micronesians, Filipinos, Americans (largely military), and various other expats. Guam’s heritage is rooted in family, hospitality, and a strong Catholic faith that continues to shape community life today. This blend of culture and faith creates a unique opportunity for ministry—one where students are not only hungry for connection but are also navigating the tension between their traditional values and the fast-changing modern world.

At the University of Guam, students come from diverse backgrounds and are at a pivotal stage of life—asking big questions about faith, identity, and purpose. As a campus minister, you would have the opportunity to walk alongside them by being present on campus. You get to share the hope of Christ, disciple young believers, and create spaces where faith can be explored and grow deep roots through the engagement of scripture
