Hi I’m Felicity,
I graduated college spring of 2025 from Charleston Southern University.
I’ll be moving to Northwest Arkansas in the Fall of 2025 to join the team Furniture Friends with Mesa Global. I’ll be working with international students at the University of Arkansas. Furniture Friends partners with 6-7 churches in the Fayetteville area and seeks to meet the physical needs of the students while also meeting the needs of the heart. The Master's students who come with nothing can apply to have furniture donated to them while in the US. They are asked at delivery if they want an American friend. This opens the door for invitation to Bible Studies, Church, and all kinds of fellowship to lead to gospel conversations. I will also be taking over the social media for Furniture Friends and working in administration.
A year ago, it was not even on my radar to even leave my state. I never wanted to leave my hometown and move even 2-3 hours away. God slowly worked in my heart to be willing to leave, and through many scriptures, made it clear that I was supposed to leave. I ask God, “I’m willing, will you send me?” and he has. A lot of people ask if I’m sad about what I’ll miss while being away for two years. And the answer is, yes, yes of course I am, but my other answer is,
What if I don't leave? What opportunities am I missing if I don't obey God?
Who doesn't hear the gospel if I stay out of selfishness or fear?
Right before GoWeek I was extremely convicted. I should be more fearful of disobeying God than I am of obeying him. And that is why, despite leaving everything I know behind, I am a 2025 Goer
