For me, every donation and every prayer I receive from my support team is a message: 'You are not alone.' Through them and many other ways, God reminds me over and over again that I am not alone because I have Him, but also because He has gifted me each one of my family, friends, and financial/prayer partners.
I am very grateful for the miraculous and quick provision of the Lord with the fundraising because I have needed to lean on that demonstration of His faithfulness time and time again to combat the many fears I have about moving to Ecuador and living there because of the current situation.
A big thank you to the person who gave me the reminder of Isaiah 41:10, which says: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will surely help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
In all the most difficult and darkest moments of my life, knowing that God has always been with me and will always be with me is the only thing that truly brought me peace and comfort. And I believe that is what this upcoming Christmas season is all about. Jesus came to this earth as a vulnerable and humble baby to remind us that we are not alone in this human experience we are all living. He reminds us that the Creator of the Universe has deep compassion for us because He lived the human life to the fullest. And thanks to His perfect human life, His sacrificial love, and the victory of His resurrection, we will never be alone because we now have access to an intimate relationship with the Father who is in heaven, the One who always has been and always will be, the One who made us fearfully and wonderfully (Psalm 139:13-14).
I hope we can all focus on this wonderful aspect of Christmas more than anything else this year, and that it brings us the peace and comfort that surpasses all understanding, which only a relationship with the Lord can give. With that said, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
