My team spent two days doing ministry in a village called Dylup. Our time there was filled with providing medical care, playing games like volleyball and tag with the villagers, and sharing Bible teachings. Our time was filled with meaningful connections and opportunities to pray for the people. However, our time there was so short. Leaving me wondering what impact this short ministry could really have?
At the end of our ministry, the local pastor, Abraham, shared some incredible news: around 25 people approached him, expressing their desire to follow Jesus for the first time. Over the next couple of weeks, he planned to visit each one of them to help them grow in their relationship with Christ through one-on-one discipleship. I know God will use this to have a lasting impact on those people.
It's amazing to witness how the Holy Spirit works through the body of Christ. Foreign missionaries like us team up with local pastors, and together, we see God doing remarkable things in people’s hearts. I am incredibly grateful for how God has already used our team and for Pastor Abraham's commitment to disciple these new followers of Jesus. This experience in Dylup has left a lasting impact on me, reminding me of the beauty of how God's mission is carried out through many people and many ways.
