It's so crazy that it has been one year since I arrived in Berlin! So much has changed since last October. I am beyond thankful for everything Jesus has been teaching me and the many blessings He has provided.
Major Happenings of the Last Year:
- going from being able to speak the most basic of basic German sentences (A1) to spending whole days speaking German and reading a book auf Deutsch (B2)
- restarting an online outreach program to women in prostitution
- moving 4 times
- spending *8,000+ hours on public transport
- joining a church planting team
- exploring Berlin's 12 districts
- digging into East German history
- forming deep friendships primarily auf Deutsch
- leading 10 online outreaches
- feeling integrated into my city team
- playing on a 'lazy and lousy' soccer team (yes, it is really named that)
- visiting 6 Christmas markets
- completing an 'Intro to Berlin' course
- spending about *2,050 hours in language school
- learning how to be okay not understanding everything going on around me
- *500 hours of FaceTime with family and friends
