We wanted to update all of you that Brian and I have arrived safely in Masatepe, Nicaragua five days ago! We had safe travels and have been greeted many times by Nicaraguans saying “estás en casa”, which means “you are home.” The pace of life here is much slower than we are used to. In a good way, Brian and I have both felt like we’ve been here much longer than we actually have. Our travel plans were a bit last-minute, but we were able to re-work our budget so that we could leave now and finish the remainder of our support raising remotely from Nicaragua. Finishing Strong 3/11
Thank you SO much for your prayers and encouragement over these last few months as we prepare to head to Nicaragua! Right now, we are at about 86% of our monthly support raising goal! Our team leader (Brandon) lives stateside and will be making a trip to Nicaragua on April 7th. We are hopeful and praying that we will be able to reach our funding goal in the next week or two so that we can align our arrival with his. Almost There 1/21
Happy [very late] New Year from the Watters! We hope that you enjoyed this season with those you love. We got to be with family in the cities and in Duluth for Christmas and also spent time at a Cabin in Crosslake, MN. It is a special time to be together, and we are embracing it a little extra this year. It will be our last Christmas with snow for at least two years! The reality of leaving so soon is starting to sink in, and we recently had to say our first official “goodbyes” to a few family members that live in other states.
