This fall has been a series of unexpected events. As overseas kingdom workers we should expect to have visa issues at some point, but recurring visa issues as well as being forced to go home for an indefinite period of time is most definitely not expected or desired. This is the situation I find myself in. I continually try to find ways to where I'm at while I wait for an opportunity to return. The Psalmist David often refers to waiting on the Lord through many of lifes circumstances. Waiting requires trust, faith, patience, and watchfulness for when His plans require some quick thinking. Waiting can even involve suffering as God actively kills those parts of us that inhibit sanctification and closer fellowship with Him. Trusting God’s wisdom will eventually culminate in joy through fellowship with Him and a successful life based on His standards.
For those of you considering going overseas, expect to encounter difficulties but don't let that deter your decision in going. Have faith and keep moving forward especially when you can't see what lies ahead.
