I have officially made it to Zambia! It feels so good to finally be here! I was so comforted to know that my supporters were praying for me nonstop throughout my travels. I could feel their peace and prayers in each layover and goodbye. I landed in Zambia on April 3rd, the Saturday before Easter! These were some of my thoughts and ponderings while traveling and in the first couple weeks of being here:
“I have been reflecting this past week and weekend on Easter and the personal parallel it has to me in this season. It was such a comfort and joy to be traveling in the midst of Easter. I felt as I was traveling like I was dying to myself and my own comfortable life to follow the will of the Father into this new life in Zambia. Not that I will compare myself to Jesus, but Jesus died for all of us because of the will and the love of the Father. If he is to be our example, we should do everything we do because of the love of the Father. How cool is it that Jesus’ death and resurrection does not stop the story there! We are the continuation of his story. I am humbled and oh so blessed.”
This was a journal entry I made on Easter and it has been a constant reminder in the midst of transition and diving into a new culture. Everything we do should come from the love of the Father and that makes all I do complete. Because of Jesus’ resurrection, I have the freedom and privilege of following the will of the Father all through grace. The resurrected king is truly resurrecting me.
P.S. This title stems from one of my favorite songs by Elevation Worship called “Resurrecting”. Go ahead and give it a listen! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf8Zzn4nOzc
