My Greatest Adventure Yet

Posted on Friday, May 31, 2019

Hey friends.

If you don’t already know (if you’re reading this…you probably do), I am moving to South East Asia in the fall to pursue a position with GoCorps and United World Mission. I will be doing videography and photography work with a new church plant. I will be living overseas for two years. If you know me, you know that this is about as good as it gets.

The past few years have been a roller coaster that has led me to what is undeniably the path that God has laid out for me. It seems like just yesterday that my family uprooted our lives in the midwest and made our way out to California. Since then I have earned a degree in Kinesiology from Azusa Pacific University and started working as a freelance photographer and filmmaker. Now I get to use those skills for something that I am even more passionate about: sharing the gospel.

I believe that the most effective way to share the gospel is to meet people where they are. For this reason, I am meeting the people of my new mission field on their home turf. I will learn the local language and live among the people. My ministry will be among the bustling markets and crowded streets of the city. This is something that is out of my comfort zone, but Jesus did not call us to comfort; he called us to action.

The next few months will be a busy season of appointments, calls, and meetings in order to build a network of invested supporters. This is a position that I cannot walk through alone. God made us to walk in unity with one another, and that is what will make or break these next two years.
