I am really thankful for the ways that God reveals His love to me through music. Through songs, God reminds me of the truths of His word in moments when I need them most.
Recently, this song has been a source of encouragement in the emotional highs and lows of the support raising process. God has been teaching me to keep looking for the little blessings He is sending my way and to choose to continually give thanks. Through looking for the little things to be thankful for, I have come to recognize God's steadfast presence with me in the waiting process.
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4-7
This verse has continued to remind me that my ongoing relationship with God consists of turning to Him in each moment in gratitude for what He is doing, joy in His unfailing lovingkindness toward me, and trust that He is taking care of all of the details to meet my ongoing needs.
