Dear Fifteen year old Me,
Take a seat, because we’ve got a lot to catch up on. The year is 2018 and unfortunately you’re not married to Nick Jonas with two and half kids like the game of “Life” predicted.
So you just started walking with Jesus. As someone who has been on this journey for almost ten years, let me tell you that it gets better. You miraculously made it through high school and college. You learned to depend fully on Jesus and trust that He was working everything out. It turns out that staying home the first year of college and going somewhere completely different wasn't such a bad thing after all. It may seem unfair the challenges you will face but from where I’m standing- I see it’s necessary and for the good.
The first time you realize people are in desperate need of the gospel, you’ll be overwhelmed. Don’t be discouraged but ask how you can be a part of God’s story. Always look for opportunity to love people well and invite others into your life. All the pain, struggle, joy and celebration- it points to our Jesus. Your life did not play out at all like you thought it would. Recognize that you cannot hold tightly to the things of this world that will eventually fade.
If you do all this, you will find yourself where I am- on your way to Europe to share the gospel. I’m so excited to fill you in on what that looks like. For now, I’ll leave you with this: Thank God that you get to be a part of His story. Be obedient and He will definitely throw you in for a loop. It’s better than anything you could imagine my dear friend.

Twenty four year old Grace
Hey y'all! I'm a 24 year old college grad from Texas who is on her way to Europe soon! I thought the best way to introduce myself and my ministry is to write a letter to 15 year old me. I started following Jesus in high school and honestly, life was never the same. The gospel took on flesh and I yearned to do something. I remember looking at the physical walls of my church and feeling overwhelmed with the need for the "church" to go beyond them. I sat with this for a long time and put in on a back burner. Through a series of events, I ended up at a small college. It was there that I connected to a community that pushed me to seek after the Kingdom of God. My heart was heavy for the brokenness in the world and in me. God used the rest of my time in college to make me uncomfortable- in ALL the best ways. I never in a million years thought I'd end up in Europe working with people from the Middle East, Africa and Asia-but God. I'm so excited for this next part of my journey. I'm not sure what it looks like, but I'm jumping in expecting God to do great things.
