Hey Friends!
For the last two weeks of Febuary I traveled to Malyasia with two of my teammates to attend a minstry network conference. When we weren't at the conference, something really special we got to do was visit some of our Rohingya friends' families who lived in Malaysia. During one visit we met three of our friend's brothers with their wives and children. The family was super hospitable and cooked us a big meal. As we were eating, I couldn't help but be amazed at how our friendship with our Rohingya friend in Phoenix connected us with her family all the way in Malaysia and gave us an open door to spend time with them. It really showed me how friendship is a significant way God spreads His love and the gospel to so many people.
During this same visit we met a man who was a friend of the family (I'll call him E). As we talked with E and got to know him more, we told him how we were English teachers in America. He then asked us if we knew an English teacher named Mr. J and showed us a picture of him. To our amazement, we realized that we knew Mr. J from the conference we were attending! E told us how Mr. J was his friend and that he really appreciated him. My teammates and I were so happy when we heard this because it showed us E was connected with a believer who could potentially connect with our friend's family too! This gave us so much hope, and we were reminded God cares for our Rohingya friends and their families and He's connecting them to believers no matter where they are in the world.
