33 First of all, look for the holy nation of God. Be right with Him. All these other things will be given to you also. 34 Do not worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will have its own worries. The troubles we have in a day are enough for one day.
Matthew 6:33-34
God truly does provide! I love what Jesus says here about worrying about what tomorrow brings. As I reach the half way point of my ministry partnership campaign, I realize that the most important element of my campaign is my relationship with the Lord. Am I turning to him in times of joy? Am I turning to him in times of hardship? Am I praying and lifting my worries to him? Or am I letting them consume my thoughts and actions? Having an advocate to carry our burdens is an amazing blessing, but it is also extremely challenging. Being honest, being vulnerable, and letting go of uncertainties is a hard thing to do. That is why we must turn our worries over to him. We must do it because it's hard. Because it's uncomfortable. By doing so, we are letting go of control and letting God guide our steps. I've learned that, as I take these next steps in my journey, I need to keep my eyes up. How green my calendar is with a partnership appointments or how high my percentages are are important but not where success is found. Those things are in his hands. Knowing that this path has been set before me, I am left to walk in faithfulness, boldness and confidence. These are the first steps of a great journey that may start here and pass through Berlin, but will go on forever.
