I just finished my 6 months of full time language study. I am excited to begin work next week. I wanted to share a quote with you that really spoke to me this past month from Resurrection by Tolstoy.
"'No, no,' he though, 'the reason for what happens in our lives, all that we do, the meaning of it, is incomprehensible and must remain incomprehensible to me...To understand all that, to understand the Master's purpose is beyond me. But to do his will, inscribed in my conscience--is in my power, and this I know unquestioningly. And when I am obeying His will, there is no doubt that my soul is at peace."
My life here has been challenging, and I have seen the depth of my sin and depravity. But I am doing God's will by living here, and I am at peace.
