Tomorrow, March 31st, will be my twenty-fifth birthday. Exactly one year ago, just before I was about to turn 24, I was sitting in a hotel room in San Fransisco, when I got the official offer to teach overseas. After months of praying, interviewing, and appying, I finally knew where the Lord wanted me. I remember thinking that in a year I would be spending my birthday in a completely different country, away from my family, immersed in a new culture. When I look back on the past year, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. I can't believe all the work the Lord has done. He is the one who got me here. I've never been more sure of this. He gave me a wonderful family and amazing friends, who encouraged me to go on this journey. He gave me supporters who believed in His calling on my life. He gave me a teaching team who could support me during this transition and my first year of teaching. There's nothing else I can say except, thank you. Thank you Lord. And thank YOU. Thank you if you have ever encouraged me, supported me, or prayed for me. I could not do this without you. Here's to being a quarter of a century old!
