When I think back on GoWeek, it seems like a lifetime has passed since I was in Minnesota. GoWeek was a blur. Full of sessions about support raising and ministry partner development, the whole week was exhausting. While that week was stressful, whenever I think back on it, I feel joy. Why? Well, it has a lot to do with the people I met there. I spent the whole week getting to know young adults who were passionate about the same things as me. All 26 of us loved Jesus and wanted nothing more than to see Him glorified. That's why we had all chosen to leave everything familiar and venture thousands of miles from home. It was such a comfort to know that there were others who could understand why I had made the decsion to go to Prague. I remember leaving GoWeek feeling like I had a new family. I hoped and prayed that we would all be able to stay in touch. Well, this past weekend I traveled to Berlin, where some of the other goers where placed. While we hadn't seen each other in almost six months, we instantly fell back into an easy friendship. The weekend was full of laughter, sharing our hearts and fears, and, ultimatley, joy. It was so refreshing! GoWeek may have been stressful, but I am so grateful for it, as it gave me the gift of new, life-giving friendships. I feel so blessed by my fellow goers and can't wait to see how God uses our friendships with one another.
