Revelation 7:9-12 "I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb....They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God..."
Information, information, and more information. This has been the overwhelming reality of GoWeek. After two days of non-stop talk about support raising, I find myself feeling completely overwhelmed and anxious. All I can think about is everything I need to do between now and my launch date. To be honest, it seems impossible. But, as I was going to bed last night, feeling anxious about what is to come, I was reminded of one of the verses that was shared with all of the Goers on day one, Revelation 7:9-12. This verse tells of a time when there will be no more divisions between the people of the world. All believers will be united by their love and passion for Christ. It won't matter what language they speak, what country they called home, or what culture they relate most to. At the end of the age, all will come together to worship Him. I clearly remember a time when I got a glimpse of this. I was at Biola University, standing in the gym at the school's annual Mission Conference was beginning. This three day conference focuses entirely on the Great Commission. To start the conference, a speaker called out each individual country and, as they did so, students would run out, carrying that countries' flag, and join others on stage. Often students were able to carry the flag of the country where they grew up. I remember standing in that gym, watching as fellow students from all walks of life, from all different nations, stood together, united in their love for Christ. Tears began to well up in my eyes as I thought, "This must be what Heaven is like." A few years later, while attending training in Minnesota, feeling completely overwhelmed, God is reminding me what I am working towards. I want nothing more than to see the vision that John saw in Revelation 7 come to fruition. As I go through the process of support raising I am praying that I will be reminded what I am working towards and why. I must begin with the end in mind.
