Hello friends! family! Random reaaders! I am currently in Minnesota training to begin my summer support raising campaign to get me to the Middle East, the area where I will be serving as a missionary for the next two years.
wow. It used to be pretty surreal for me to write those words and even more surreal to speak them aloud to people who have been asking me the question, "what's next." But now, it's beginning to feel more real and more right than ever. I am beginning to settle into my calling and am more excited than ever to be a part of what God is doing in the Middle East.
While the support raising process that all of us "Goers" will be going through is extremely intense, and I'm pretty overwhelmed right now; I've learned that above all this process isn't primarily about me. This support raising process is primarily about inviting others to observe the mighty works that God is doing RIGHT NOW all across the globe, and challenging them to be a part of it. This support raising campaign is a ministry opportunity that I NEVER in my life thought that I would have. 2 weeks ago I was super bummed that support raising was something that I had to do. And while I'm still not "super pumped" about it, I am excited to see the way that God works throughout this journey. I never that my journey to the Middle East would open an opportunity for others to serve the Lord as well!
God is doing amazing things, and I am really excited to begin the journey!
