Today I am calling all prayer warriors to get on their hands and knees and pray for a city in turmoil. The area of the world I am preparing to enter is dark. Maybe the darkest place I have yet to experience. God is moving moutains in this region of the world. As God moves so does the enemy. Although he will never be victorious Satan is doing everything he can to keep light from infiltrating a place he has locked in bondage. Spiritual warfare in the city is thick. Yet God continues to take what the enemy intends for evil and redeem it into something good, something that furthers His kingdom and brings glory back to Himself.
Today I ask that you would take time to enter the battle. That you would put on your spiritual armor and join God's army through your prayers. Pray that the God would continue to protect His children in this part of the world. That he would give courage to His children who are already there and to His children who are prearing to go.
Pray that God would continue to redeem these evil situations by using them to draw people to himself. I recently had the honor of meeting missionaries from the same city I am heading too. Their stories of how hungry people are to walk in relationship with Jesus is astounding. They told stories of how each time turmoil has struck, a new door has been open to spread the gospel.
Lastly please pray for the hearts of those locked in bondage to the lie that hurting and killing innocent people is justifiable. That in order to seek revenge and promote a cause people must die. Pray for new revelation and a tranformation of their minds that they too may know Truth. No person can be too far from the grace of God. Let us not forget that and pray in the power of Jesus' name for redemption of the city and its people!
