Hello friends!
For those of you who are unaware, I have accepted a position that will allow me to spend two years in the Middle East doing missionary service. I am currently scheduled to leave this coming fall. Right now, I am currently at support raising training in the beautiful state of Minneapolis! I have made several new friends, been given a wealth of knowledge about support raising, and have also developed a solid vision of what I will be doing in the next two years.
I have had to do a lot of processing this week, simply because of all of the new information I find myself with, and there seems to be one common theme - new beginnings.
I have new relationship beginnings. There are 3 other people that will be travelling to the Middle East with me, and I am so excited for the friendships I have already made with them. I have also had the pleasure of meeting so many other people my age this week who have a passion for ministry, missions, and sharing the love of Christ that will be serving in many different parts of the world.
I also have a new beggining in reaching the Middle East. This summer I will be full-time support raising in order to fulfill my dream of ministering to the unreached. Have you ever been simultaneously extremely excited and scared to death at the same time? This is a small description of what I'm currently experiencing!
That leads me to my final beginning. This week (and the past few weeks), I have been experiencing an amazing renewal of my faith. I feel as if God is trying to take me to the next level of trust, relationship, and service with Him. I am so excited for the journey that is ahead for the summer. I know there will be highs and lows, but I also know that God promised to never leave me or forsake me. So here goes nothing - a new beginning of an amazing journey.
