I am sitting in this really hip coffee shop in downtown Chattanooga paralyzed by all of the things that I should be doing, and all I can think about is taking a nap or laying by the pool. I am about to be in my 6th week of support raising and honestly, I’m exhausted. But in the midst of making phone calls and meetings and thank you letters, there is a distinct word that has consistently been floating through my head; fruition. According to webster, this is defined as a point at which something is realized or accomplished. I don’t know if I happened to see this word and now it is stuck in my head or if God has placed it there, but either way, it has become a word of peace. I know that this next step in my Life is ordained by God. I know that God will provide and bring this process to full fruition. All I have to do is surrender and pursue Him.
But even more so this can be applied to every aspect of my life. In the past three week I have experienced more change than I thought I could handle. I moved out of my apartment of two years and into a host family’s house, my roommate of three years moved to Costa Rica, my best friend is about to move to Kentucky, I finished my 10th year at Blue Ridge and said goodbye to my teen program and my favorite place on earth, AND I sold basically all of my worldly possessions. Although it has been an emotional rollercoaster, I was deeply surprised by how freeing it has been. I am about to embark on a journey that was placed on my heart as a young girl. Through all the mess of college, community and dating, this is what I have been preparing for; to be the girl that saw what she wanted and jumped without really know what was below. All my life I have dreamed of jumping, and that is finally coming to fruition. So, as the word is ringing in my head, I am finally realizing that this is not the end of one chapter of my life, or a short time of support raising before I leave, but the beginning of longstanding dream to jump and see where my magnificent God places me.
