Hello Goer Blog Readers!
Here in Eastern Asia we just emerged from a long festival holiday, and next week college classes resume for what will be, for me, the last semester of my two years here.
Reflecting back, I remember how a year and a half ago, another Goer and I began campus ministry together at this college- and we had a difficult go of it. It seemed like our particular campus had a somewhat "closed" atmosphere- not as many opportunities for relationship-building with the students as we'd encountered elsewhere. Now, after much prayer and effort and the growth of our campus team and a year and a half of watching God at work, we enter this semester with more opportunities for ministry than our team has the resources to take advantage of!
I'm personally very encouraged by the way our campus ministry has grown and developed, and I hope to "finish strong" this last semester- for which I will need your prayer support!
Please join me in praying for our campus Bible studies, that those students who have been seeking will be influenced to make commitments for Jesus this year.Please join me in praying for our outreach events, that the Lord will lead us to the students that He's working in already. Please pray for our local churches, that the local leaders may find a growing passion for discipleship and outreach.
With your prayer support, I am very excited to see what God will be doing through this next semester, and I look forward to continuing to share the journey with you!
