This process of surrender.

Daunting, intriguing, one of grace and trust. In the past few months alone, I have been wrestling with the weight that came with the big YES. Saying yes to the adventure the Lord has been leading me to, saying yes to conversations of challenge, saying yes to the beauty He has prepared. There have been days of pure joy in envisioning all that is ahead, and days when I fear the moment of final goodbyes where I step out into all that is new and unknown. But it is the walk, the daily movement that has been most alluring. Falling forward, stepping backward I have been refreshed by the faith found in each step of this journey. Each step is release, holds trust, brings hope. I am learning and laughing and working to navigate this crazy new season of preparing for my time in Nicaragua.

After all the months of the working toward YES, I am now getting to do this alongside a group of exceptional individuals seeking the same Kingdom work. I am in the heart of training for GoCorps, where information gathering and strategic thinking are highly encouraged. Although the days are filled with sessions seasoned with learning strategy and methods of partnership, I have been in awe of the laughter and joy found here. It is the greatest privilege to be engaging in this content alongside a handful of individuals all chasing after the passions the Lord has put on our hearts. The stories, the hearts, the smiles in just these past few days have furthered my excitement for this adventure. I am so grateful for these few days alone and am eager to continue this jump alongside a new team of dreamers.

This process of surrender.

Still scary but finding joy. Still daunting but holding to hope. Still the craziest thing that the Lord continues to invite me in. So with that I will continue to walk, daily step in faith, now with new tools and teammates to do it with.
