We had our first big rain of the year this past week and it was nothing short of amazing. November is supposed to mark the beginning of the four month rainy season in Malawi, though we got an early surprise this year. This is a season that most look forward to in anticipation of crops and water supply, while others dread because of the mess it can cause and the influx of mosquitoes it brings!
By the end of October, the hottest month of the year, those first couple of rains are an absolute gift. I am grateful for the rain showers and the refreshing cool air we’ve experienced this week! In honor of our first rain, here is a fun rendition of “Africa,” by Toto.
