We had our annual VBS with the help of a group from America. During the week, we had about 70 kids a day (plus moms) and five different groups with four different languages. There were skits, films, games, crafts, and songs, all sharing the truth “Jesus knows you”. I was part of the songs station and absolutely loved singing with the kids and mothers in our country's language, hearing them chant the lyrics at different stations and even weeks after at programs. At the end of the week, we gave out children’s Bibles and every single mom took one for her kids. Speaking with the some kids later, I smiled to see how far they’d read and how much they were retaining. During VBS, the kid's responses brought "Hallelujah"s to our lips. One statement sums it up,"Jesus was a perfect man so they shouldn't have killed him. But that is why the cross is so important for the world." Amen. Please pray for these families and kids, that their knowledge and love of Jesus would deepen into true faith.
